EARL'S RIB PALACE - Edmond, OK

Ate with my kids this past Sunday really good chopped briskett. The fried okra was great (It was fried!) The "backstory" is the interesting part. Here it is:

Earlywine "Earl" Jackson was born in Eastern Oklahoma in 1909. In his lifetime, he has prepared his world famous barbeque for heads of state, movie stars and common folk alike. When Earl died he had ben traveling with Elvis Presley as his personal chef and companion and took great pride in the fact that Elvis gained more than 50 pounds during that time. When Earl died in 1978, his recipes and secrets were sought after by chefs and collectors from all over the world, but his family locked them away for years. Now Earl, like the King himself, is still alive through his awesome barbeque that we serve here every day. There's a whole lot of Earl in everything that we do, enjoy!

If you get a chance, try it and let e know what you think. More tomorrow. Check back.
